We created the AdEx protocol as an open-source, transparent and fraud-proof alternative to traditional ad networks. By introducing real-time tracking and reporting directly accessible to each advertiser and publisher, and dropping the need for most intermediaries, we reduced the ability for anyone on the network to report wrong data and make advantage of unnecessary fees and fake traffic....
Privacy matters
We don’t keep user data on our platform
Privacy of end users is protected by having all of the information that the system learns about them stored only in their own browser’s local storage by our AdView manager - the AdEx software that runs in the users’ browsers. The Adview manager is designed in a way that it may learn about the user, but keep that information locally and never reveal it to anyone or anything. Again for privacy concerns we prefer the targeting to be contextual - target users based on the websites they visit, instead of creepily tracking their behavior....
